“The dtSearch  interface is easy to create, the search results appear quickly, even when large documents are being indexed.”
codepublishing.incCode Publishing Company (CPC) began codification services in 1989. Management and staff currently have over 30 years of experience in codification for local governments. Codification is the systematic arrangement of ordinances and resolutions so that laws of a general and permanent nature are logically organized, indexed and cross-referenced.

CPC's basic services include editing, formatting, typesetting, proofing, indexing and printing complete books with update supplement preparation at calendar intervals.  CPC is a national company providing codification services to hundreds of municipalities across 16 states and handling over 6,000 subscriptions across the country.

More recently, CPC also started hosting local government codes online. For searching such online compilations, CPC chose the dtSearch Text Retrieval Engine. "We needed a solution for two components of our business," explained CPC. "First, for our customers, we needed a web-based search engine that indexed a variety of file types. We needed a search engine that the customers would find easy to use, that provided Boolean searching, and that offered fast results. Second, our staff needed a search engine that was easy to implement."

"dtSearch was the perfect fit for both components," added CPC.  "The dtSearch  interface is easy to create, the search results appear quickly, even when large documents are being indexed.  We wanted to provide our users with the ability to search single or multiple databases, and dtSearch offered a simple solution."
