“I can't imagine the other
systems doing anything better than dtSearch. I've
had some problems, as all developers face, but dtSearch
has always been very responsive. I asked for a feature
that stored word positions in byte-counts instead
of word counts and they put it in-at no charge,
though I offered it.
When I started creating a Web-based system dtSearch
was already hard at work putting in features for
web-developers. After years of working with dtSearch
there is nothing that I've wanted to do that hasn't
been incorporated into the next release of the product.
As a developer I love the flexibility of dtSearch.
We've done some very funky stuff with it that, to
this day, amazes me.
