Software Technology, Inc. (STI), the maker of Tabs3 Billing Software and PracticeMaster Practice Management Software, has been at the forefront of developing software for law firms for over twenty-five years. Tabs3 is one of the most widely used time and billing products in the United States and has been an industry leader since its introduction in 1979. Tabs3 is designed to integrate with PracticeMaster, the emerging leader in practice management software. Among its many features, PracticeMaster provides an easy way for firms to create a firm-wide calendar, search for conflicts of interest, and organize case and contact information. There are over 425,000 active user licenses of Tabs3 and PracticeMaster software combined.

STI recently announced the release of a new version of its popular billing, practice management and financial software products, including powerful new document search features that let users search for text within e-mail attachments and linked documents in PracticeMaster Premier. "One of the more exciting features in the new version is PracticeMaster's powerful new document search capability," said Dan Berlin, President of STI. "This will make it easy for users to quickly search the contents of e-mail attachments in addition to the text of an e-mail."

"Through integration with dtSearch, powerful new document search features let PracticeMaster Premier users search for text within e-mail attachments and linked documents," added Berlin. "Searches can be customized to include only specific clients or certain date ranges; or by using phonetic searching to help you quickly search for conflicts of interest or find the information you are looking for."

PracticeMaster also introduced a Quick Clicks pane, which allows users to have one-click access to their most common tasks. The new Application Toolbar, available in all Tabs3 and PracticeMaster programs and capable of being docked anywhere on the desktop, offers users convenient one-click access to all Tabs3 and PracticeMaster software. Additionally, a new PracticeMaster Toolbar in Internet Explorer lets users easily track the online research that they do for clients. Users can save entire Web pages for offline viewing, save Web page URLs, add notes in research records, and more.

Both Tabs3 and PracticeMaster are award-winning software programs. Most recently, Tabs3 Billing Software became the first product to win the same Law Technology News® (LTN) award five consecutive years. Tabs3 won the 2007 LTN Vendor Award for Timekeeping and Billing System in the small and mid-sized firm category. PracticeMaster was a 2006 winner in the LTN award categories of Docketing & Calendaring, and Case/Practice Management Software for firms with under 50 attorneys. Together Tabs3 and PracticeMaster were named 2007 LTN award finalists in the Product of the Year category for Version 14.2. Over the years, Tabs3 and PracticeMaster have combined to win dozens of industry awards.
