Enterprise Solutions was founded in 1995 in Chicago,
IL as an independent IT consulting business unit
within the York Group. York Enterprise Solutions
was created as a direct response to the changing
IT marketplace and most importantly the changing
needs of York's clients. York's clients needed
help locating top-notch IT consulting professionals
in a short time frame.
Since
it s founding, York Enterprise Solutions has evolved
both as an IT recruiting resource, as well as
a consultant to other IT firms. For example, York
Enterprise Solutions' developed its own custom
code for searching vast, ever-changing Web-based
repositories of resumes. Matt Trossen, IT Manager
at York Enterprise Solutions developed the solution
using dtSearch Web and the dtSearch Text Retrieval
Engine. "dtSearch developer solutions were

Mr.
Trossen used the dtSearch Text Retrieval Engine's
sample VB application to create a custom Web indexing
tool. "Our custom code takes a master folder
and indexes every subfolder underneath it, creating
a separate index for each subfolder." For searching,
Mr. Trossen used the Web search forms created by
dtSearch Web, and then customized the forms using
JavaScript to accord with York Enterprise Solutions'
specific needs. "The result is very fast online
searching of our resume database."
York Enterprise Solutions is also developing a desktop
product for searching the internet and storing information
in a dtsearch indexed database on the fly for later
