ReportsAutomation was tasked by a client
to distribute robotics technical documentation,
both over the client's corporate Web site as well
as to customers on CD. The client had a broad
range of documents in PDF, HTML, XML, etc. The
documents were also in multiple languages, including
English, French and Spanish.
To ensure a consistent look and feel
with the client's existing Web site, the client
provided a search form in MS Front Page. ReportsAutomation
then took the client's search form and hooked
it up with dtSearch Web. “dtSearch's clean

then used dtSearch Publish to create a CD version
of the documentation, also with the same look and
feel and live linking. “With dtSearch, we
were able to quickly replicate the same searchable
technical documentation on CD as on the Web site.
Search time on the CD and the corporate site was
instant.”
Updating dynamic content both on the Web site and
CD was also easy for the client. “The client
was very happy with the easy automatic index scheduling.”
Finally, “the client was very pleased with
the full range of natural language and boolean query
options that the dtSearch software provided to its
customers.”
