Sharpdesk 3.0 personal document management software enables users to manage and now search for their business documents, regardless of whether the files are scanned from hardcopy or created electronically.

Through one intuitive interface, Sharpdesk users can streamline workflow with a collection of easy-to-use, integrated tools. Documents can be viewed, edited, organized, filed, printed or distributed through a simple drag-and-drop interface. Using the Composer feature, users can produce, print or email integrated reports and proposals composed of different file types.

Ten licenses of Sharpdesk are included with Sharp’s Scanning option for the full range of Sharp network-connected multifunctional copier/printer/scanners/faxes. A single user version of Sharpdesk is also bundled with some entry level Sharp MFPs shipped through retail channels. This enables Sharp to provide a comprehensive industry leading scanning solution

The latest version of Sharpdesk incorporates the dtSearch Text Retrieval Engine for file search and retrieval. The dtSearch Engine provides instant full-text and fielded text search options for maximum precision searching of all major files types, including ‘Office’ formats, HTML, and PDF. Through integration with the Sharpdesk OCR engine, users can also perform full-text searches on scanned TIFF files. A user simply enters a keyword and/or other file property and the dtSearch Engine enables Sharpdesk to retrieve all relevant images and links, displaying the documents in either thumbnail or summary views.
